Week 2 with Blogs

Hello Civics Students!

Happy Computer Day! Do you remember any of the blog vocabulary?
draft: (n.) any of the number of versions in the development of a blog

blogger: (n.) someone who keeps a journal on the internet

blog: (n.) a regularly updated website or web page, typically run by an individual or small group, that is written in an informal or conversational style/(v.) to add new material to or regularly update a blog.

post: (n.) a single entry on a blog/(v.) to add a single entry to a blog

publish: (v.) to make your writing available for other people to see (on a blog)

comment: (n.) a written remark expressing an opinion or reaction/ (v.) to make or write a remark on a blog

Here’s the plan for the rest of computer day:

1)     Comment on the picture and question on the screen. If you were not able to make the college tour, talk to Rachel or Deidre and they will bring you a worksheet to use for your comment.

  2. I LIKED THE TOUR, AND I THINK, MAYBE THE NEXT YEAR I WILL GO TO THE COLLEGE. THE COLLEGE OFFERS MANY OPPORTUNITIES. BUT FIRST, I LEARN ENGLISH VERY WELL.

  5. Hi, Class! I was happy to visit Saint Paul College yesterday. This College have many Major Programs: Health Science Programs, Technical Education Programs, Science, Technology, Engineering & Math, Computer Graphics & Visualization Programs and other. I think it is very good opportunities for us.

  6. I 1.One thing learned from the trip yesterday that the school has a lot of interesting majors i never heard before.
    2. l knew that someone who already had a diploma from his or her country the person does not need a GED Test.
    3.Saint Paul College had many free supporting center like math center or writing center.
    I learned something interesting things yesterday and it gave me motivation to go college I never think before. I will try to improve my English skills first and looking for what I am interested in.

  9. Yesterday I felt very good in S T PAUL COLLEGE because i got to know the facilities and I learned about the programs and the standards needed to start the programs. I also evaluated the costs and I compared the cost with my country.
